Steps to Make Origami Kusudama Flower

Useful Tips:

• You need square paper. All four sides of the paper must be same. No specific paper size. Just make sue=re that you have square paper

• Practice to make fold in news paper if you are beginner in origami

• For each fold, use your nail or equal object (I use old Debit cards) to iron the fold. Ironing will make precise and clear fold which makes your origami life a lot easier :)

• Maintain good posture as Origami will create intense stress on your neck muscles.

• Do origami in well illuminated room. Poor light may stress your vision

Step1: Take a square paper

Step 2:  Make triangle fold

Step 3:  Unfold the triangle fold

Step 4: Make triangle fold at opposite side

Step 5: Unfold the triangle fold. Now you can see the cross

Step 6: Make Rectangle fold and unfold it and repeat the same in opposite side

Step 7: Now fold rectangle again 

Step 8: Make reverse valley fold

Step 9: Repeat step 8 to opposite side. Now you will have triangle with 4 flaps. Triangle will have open ends and close end

Step 10: Take first flap and roll towards closed end of triangle

Step 11: Roll all 4 flaps as shown in step 10

Step 12: Now we made 1 unit of kusadama flower

Step 13: Make 8 units

Step 14: Now we attach the units. Insert one flap of the unit 1 into any flap of unit 2. Twist them together and roll it

Step 15: Now attach all units as said in step 14

Step 16: We are done.
